OxfordLoads of rounds and loads of opportunities to win prizes. First round is general knowledge, 2/ (basically 5 questions on one subject, 4 on the next etc etc) 3. sports 4. MMTV (music, movies and TV) 5. Picture round (you're given a sheet with pictures on it at the beginning of the night and you have to identify all the pictures) 6. changes each week, but usually something fun! 7. bits and pieces (20 clips of songs are played and you have to put down the artists who recorded them!) 8. Jackpot round - everybody pays 1.50 per person and this goes towards a jackpot - can reach 1000 as it is rolled over each week if nobody gets 17 or more correct. Warning though - get there early as it tends to get very busy and some teams reserve their table.

SundayThe Gardener's Arms
Weekly 8:30pm39 Plantation Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire
OxfordA friendly and amusing quiz for 1 per person. All the entry fees get divided up between the top three teams. The first round is always "in the news", with a music round in the third. The others vary their topics, but the fifth round is usually something unusual: for example, a picture round or a wipeout round. The evening always finishes with the Landlord's Round, when the team who come closest to answering that question win a round for their whole team. Please note this is the Plantation Road pub, not the one of the same name on North Parade.

SteventonThe BIG Quiz: it is big, but it's not clever! Our weekly Monday night quiz has been running since April 2004 and continues to attract a large following. It's a fun-packed two and a half hours of general knowledge trivia every Monday night, with spot prizes for the winners of each of the four rounds - TV & Film, Pot Luck, Sport and Music. At the end of the night there's a "Play Your Cards Right" competition to determine which teams will compete in the pontoon play-off for the cash jackpot. Teams of any size can enter, and it costs just 1 per person to play, all entry fees going towards the cash jackpot at the end of the night. The emphasis is on fun, so the jackpot isn't just available to particularly clever teams but to every team that enters. But why the "BIG" quiz? Well, our prizes are big. Every week we give away at least 30 worth of spot prizes throughout the quiz. And our jackpots are big. As big as 500 on occasions. Now that is big! Then there's our quiz master. Now he is big. "Big" Dave Mather stands 6' 7" in his bare feet! That's big. The BIG Quiz every Monday night at The Fox Inn. It is big, but it's not clever!
